It is now Tuesday, November 5, and everyone who was at the I-TEC HAU project is now at home safely. We praise the Lord for on-time (mostly) and safe travels from Burundi to the USA and Canada. Thanks to all who volunteered on this project! Without you it could never have been accomplished. As it is right now, the first I-TEC system with Lithium Batteries is operating flawlessly and providing needed reliable power for the Hope Africa University. In addition, we were able to make some needed modifications at the Kibuye Hope Hospital and that system as well is working as designed. And, we were able to do some tweaks at the Sister Connection facility and that system as well is also working, although the five-year-old battery bank there is going to need replaced in the near future.
Here are some final photos of the project at HAU.
The workmanship of the technicians at HAU has been very impressive. They have a system that should provide power for many years to come. We are confident that both HAU and Kibuye are in the hands of well-qualified individuals that are responsible and willing to do the maintenance needed as time goes on. We have been pleased with what we have seen so far. This is just a part of the picture that God is painting in Burundi.
