Well, six of us arrived safely in Bujumbura with all of our luggage. We are thankful for safe and on time flights. After a night of sleep we had breakfast and a time of devotions and sharing by several. Then it was off to work. I am very impressed and pleased to see all that has been done here already. The day was spent in mapping out the rest of the work to come. There is a lot that still needs done. We appreciate your prayers for us as we move forward toward that end. Tomorrow I hope to get some photos showing our forward progress.
If you think of it, please pray for a very good friend of mine (Gary) whose name is Dave. He is having surgery Tuesday to remove a brain tumor.
Someone else may add to or post another post tonight, but I wanted to give assurances to our friends and families at home that we are here and raring to go. We are still rounding up parts and supplies and are hoping we can find what we need in this large city. One more team member, Matt, will be coming over here by himself this coming weekend and we will lose all but nine of the team, who will be heading home on Sunday. There's lots to do but many hands this week so we are very hopeful to be on schedule.
