Friends and Followers of I-TEC,
Charles Spurgeon said, "The streaming wounds of Jesus are the sure guarantees for answered prayer." Your prayers are covering many circumstances that cannot be explained or reported in a blog; there just wouldn't be enough time! But you can know that God hears your prayers and honors your partnership with him in the work at HAU. Thank you and please keep praying!
Below is an update from Miguel. On Sunday another team of three will arrive at HAU.
Pray for:
o-Safe travel
o-Adjustment to the new time and culture
o-For the joy in the Spirit they will bring to our team on site
During their time at HAU, we expect the arrival of the containers. They will be set in place, and unloaded. The building of the support structure for the solar array, in full swing right now, will be at a critical juncture to the work of setting the solar panels. Please pray for the timing and smooth flow in all these things. Continue to pray for the health and well-being of each member and for times of refreshing from the difficult work, the language barrier, heat and mosquitoes.
Miguel:
Good morning I-TEC family!
Hope all is well back home. We are all excited to see the next team!
We are grateful for a timely visit from our friend Dr. Bya Mungu from Nundu hospital. He stopped by to meet our family on his way up To Uganda where he will continue his studies. His visit blessed us in so many ways!
Here is an update on the work…
Solar Field Progress
It has been slowly coming along as we had some issues with overcrowding... The site is busy with masons, cement mixers, and others working hard. Yesterday our string line posts were bumped constantly and moved enough to cause misalignment. The line of posts we were working on had to be moved and corrected several times. Not the most efficient day, so we made the call to stop our progress and let the masons have the field. Today and tomorrow, the carpenters and I will have the field to ourselves to finish setting posts. Thursday the masons will be back to finish pouring cement. That way we don’t have to work around each other.
Preparation for Solar Array Structure
The first array field is all done and back-filled as of this morning and looks really good everything is lined up and straight. Please pray that we have good progress and continue to work well together. We have a good system going with the carpenters. And even though there is the language barrier, with GOD's grace we are able to communicate and work alongside each other very well!
Thursday we plan to start welding the east/west horizontal lengths on the first arrays while the masons have the south end of the field. We will have plenty of welding work for Gabe and Brian to work on. The week they arrive, we will start welding the north/south support bracing. Praise God, we were able to find a good grinder to replace the one that burned up.
Please pray for Mr. Dale as he will be flying back home today. He was a blessing to have around and we will surely miss him! Love to you all and thank you for praying!
